Sandy Springs, GA, USA – Dec. 15, 2020 – The 2020 United States Dressage Federation show season concluded on October 30, 2020, and Marsha Hartford Sapp and First Impression were awarded a Reserve National Champion All-Breed―American Warmblood Society and Sporthorse Registry Award for Open First Level Dressage.
"We're so pleased with his performance," said owner JamieLynne Weiss. "Never in our wildest dreams did we expect our hunter would have ended the year with a USDF award."
While selected for importation to the United States based on his talents in the hunter and jumper disciplines, COVID-19 provided an unusual opportunity for the gelding to segue into dressage training, and he has proven to be a versatile top performing athlete in multiple competition rings at the national level. He will return to hunter and jumper competitions for the 2021 competition season.
